Josh Leavitt grew up in North Kingstown, Rhode Island and always had a love of storytelling. Whether it was finishing any book he got within a few days, or organizing movie marathons with friends and family, Josh always wanted to be experiencing a new story. He attended North Kingstown High School and got his start in film in the school's state renown communications program. After spending 3 full years in the program Josh decided to continue his education in film at Champlain College. While at Champlain College he worked on numerous films. He began working in post-production but soon gained an appreciation for working on set. Josh began helping his peers organize and run their productions. During his Junior year he produced a film for the first time and it stuck. Working as a producer, Josh found that he was able to give insight and critiques during every stage of the creative process. He continued his work as a producer into his final year of undergraduate and produced four of his peer’s films, each one providing their own unique experience and challenges. As producer, Josh wore many different hats and brought his experiences from project to project, using what he had learned to inform all of the decisions that he would have to make.
